How do I join Table Tennis Saskatchewan?▾
Membership is a flat $10 per year for everyone, and you can sign up online in a couple of minutes. A TTSASK membership gives you provincial eligibility for sanctioned tournaments, programs, and the national pathway. Visit our Membership page to join.
How much does membership cost?▾
Just $10 per year – the same for every member, including out-of-province players joining us for a tournament. Individual club session fees (like drop-in rates) are set separately by each club.
Where can I play table tennis in Saskatchewan?▾
There are affiliated clubs across the province, with the largest scenes in Saskatoon and Regina. Our Where to Play and Affiliated Clubs pages list clubs and public facilities near you.
Do you have programs for beginners, kids, or adults?▾
Yes – TTSASK runs training programs for every level (novice through advanced), Para programs, adult sessions, and seasonal camps at Christmas, February break, Easter, and summer. See our Training Programs and Seasonal Camps pages.
How do I start a table tennis club in my community?▾
A few committed players, a space to play, and affiliation with TTSASK is all it takes. Our Getting Started page walks through the path, and the Club Registration page has the club membership form, MAP grant application, and member roster in one place.
Does our club need to register as a non-profit?▾
School clubs do not – the school's own status covers you. Community clubs should register as a Saskatchewan non-profit corporation (it is strongly recommended, not required to affiliate): it lets the club open a bank account in its own name and receive grants, and it protects your volunteers from personal liability. It is done online with Saskatchewan Registry Services (ISC) at saskregistries.ca – reserve your club name ($35), file the articles of incorporation ($50) with a Saskatchewan street address and your directors' names, then file a short annual return each year ($20). Fees as of April 2026. The costs can go in your club's MAP spending plan. Our Getting Started page has the steps, or call us at 306-880-3660 and we will walk you through it.
What is the MAP grant?▾
The Membership Assistance Program (MAP) is Sask Lotteries funding, through Sask Sport, that TTSASK distributes to affiliated clubs each year – up to $1,000 per club to help with equipment, in-province tournament travel, and coach or official education. See our MAP Grant page for how it is calculated and how to apply.
How do I bring table tennis into my school?▾
Through our SPED program, TTSASK coaches come to your school with all the equipment for a physical-education session at a flat hourly rate. You can book a session online on our SPED Booking page.
How do I become a coach, umpire, or referee?▾
Coaching is certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), and officials follow Table Tennis Canada / ITTF pathways. Our Coach, Umpire, and Referee pathway pages show every step, and the first umpire exam is open-book and can be written online by anyone.
How do I enter a tournament?▾
Check our season calendar on the Tournaments page for events we host and sanction, plus the out-of-province events our athletes travel to. You generally need a current $10 membership to enter a sanctioned event.
I received an e-transfer from TTSASK – what is the security answer?▾
TTSASK pays coaches, volunteers, expense claims and subsidies by Interac e-transfer. The security question is 'What's sender's short name in 6 letters?' and the answer is ttsask (capitals don't matter). Tip: turn on auto-deposit in your online banking and future payments land in your account with no question at all.
What is My TTSASK, and how do I log in?▾
My TTSASK is your personal account on the TTSASK portal at ttsask.ca/portal. It shows your membership status and expiry, your athlete's attendance, program times and training focus, tournament and Travel Support information, and notices from the office. Every member, program family and club contact is invited by email: look for 'Your TTSASK portal login' from wp@ttsask.ca and click Set my password. Your login is the email address the invitation was sent to.
I did not get my portal invitation, or the link expired – what do I do?▾
First check your spam or promotions folder for an email from wp@ttsask.ca. The invitation link works for 24 hours. If it has expired, or you cannot find it, go to ttsask.ca/portal, type the email address you registered with, and click 'Forgot your password?' – a fresh link arrives within a minute. If the portal does not recognize your email, write to info@ttsask.ca and we will set you up.
Does TTSASK help with the cost of travelling to tournaments?▾
Yes – member athletes can claim a travel subsidy for out-of-province 2★+ tournaments: $125 per event for youth and $75 for adults, up to five events a season. Junior athletes qualify by training in a TTSASK program through the season with at least 75% attendance each month (for 2026/27: returning athletes registered by October 31, new athletes by December 31). There is no need to report the odd missed session; only an injury or time away from the city that would keep an athlete under 75% for a month needs a note to the office, and those are reviewed case by case. Westerns and Nationals are separate: TTSASK team trips with Saskatchewan coaches, where TTSASK covers about half of the shared travel costs and the team is chosen at a tryout. See our Travel Support page.
How do I claim the travel subsidy?▾
Within 30 days of the tournament (and by June 30 at the latest), email info@ttsask.ca with your entry confirmation and proof of travel – the published results or draw showing you played, or a photo from the venue. The office checks your membership (and, for juniors, your program registration and monthly attendance) and sends the subsidy by e-transfer. You arrange your own registration, travel, hotel and, for athletes under 18, supervision – TTSASK does not provide drivers or chaperones for these events.
