U11 – U19 BoysU11 – U19 GirlsMen’s & Women’s OpenOver 40Team Saskatchewan for the 2027 Canada Winter Games (Québec City, table tennis Feb 28 – Mar 5) is 3 boys and 3 girls, born 2008 or later. The roster is named by TTSASK together with the Team Sask head coach: the two tryouts are the main input, weighed together with TTCAN ratings, recent tournament results and coach evaluation – so the final team is not decided by the tryout alone. Team Sask travel is funded through Sask Sport.
A TTSASK team trip: the office builds the travel plan, Saskatchewan coaches travel with the team, and TTSASK covers about half of the shared travel costs. The team is selected from the tryout results together with coach evaluation and current ratings, about three months before the event. Team-event entry fees: see the new minimum rating.
Also a TTSASK team trip, selected the same way. Junior athletes are supported for the Canadian Junior Championships (Jul 11 – 15); the Senior Championships run Jul 9 – 11. Team-event entry fees: see the new minimum rating.
Westerns and Nationals are competitions, so TTSASK now supports the team-event entry fee for athletes who play at a competitive level for their age. The line is simple: your TTCAN rating must be at least 50% of the average rating of your age group at last season’s Canadian Junior Championships.
| Age group | Boys | Girls |
|---|---|---|
| U11 | 347 | 210 |
| U13 | 460 | 339 |
| U15 | 616 | 459 |
| U19 | 758 | 574 |
Half of the average rating of each age group at the 2026 Canadian Junior Championships (all provinces, Table Tennis Canada draws). Your TTCAN rating on the event’s entry deadline is the one that counts. No rating yet? Ask the office – the coaches will look at your tryout.
Tryouts are organized by Table Tennis Saskatchewan. Team trips (Westerns, Nationals) are described on the Travel Support page; the Canada Winter Games team travels with Team Sask under Sask Sport. Eligibility for the Canada Games follows the 2027 Canada Winter Games Table Tennis Technical Package (U19 as of Dec 31, 2026; 3 men and 3 women per province). Questions: info@ttsask.ca.
